You’re in the right spot. Just give it a second.
First, bookmark this site. It will be live on April 30, 2008.
Second, read the next few sentences, you’ll be blown away.
1) My wife and I have started and/or purchased fifteen businesses in the last 14 years. Of these fifteen businesses (brace yourself,) thirteen are still in business. We started our first company, esc promotions, in 1993, and have since started, grown, managed, and sold thirteen of these fifteen busineses! We did close two of them, but knowing what we know now, we would have not even considered closing the two businesses that we closed! And we probably would not have considered selling the businesses that we successfully sold! Here’s a list of the businesses we have started, managed, are still running, closed, and sold:
1) ESC Promotions. A nation wide fundraising company that helped “launch” the school discount card fundraising industry. We operated seven offices that covered almost the entire U.S. We helped schools raise millions of dollars. Chances are, you’ve owned or had one of our discount “Power” cards in your wallet (or knew someone who sold one of our cards or owned one!)
2) My Plastic Cards. A plastic card printing company that produces sports passes and plastic cards for a variety of industries. We produced millions of cards for all types of organizations from school athletic groups to newspaper membership programs. Our main client (esc promotions), services hundreds of athletic programs throughout the U.S. Their sister company, www.mysportspass.com, is a major player in providing sports passes to athletic programs throughout the U.S.
3) Fantastic Sams, franchise hair system. We re-opened the first Indianapolis Fantastic Sam’s salon, and although we chose to sell this business, there are now many stores operating successfully in the Indianapolis market.
4) Picket Fence Properties. We started our property investment company in the mid-’90’s, and we actively invest, manage, buy and sell properties.
5) Zionsville Candle Company. We helped pioneer the “soy candle” movement by promoting organic-based natural soy candles.
6) Recognize U (now Thread Runner). We started a wholesale embroidery company that still provides custom apparel services to many clients.
7) Queen Bee Marketing. We started this SEO company that currently provides great SEO services.
8) Lets Go Banners. This is a current business we’re starting to provide signs and banners to the U.S. and Hawaiian Islands. It’s all about Vinyl Banners, Banner Displays and Signs (Hawaii - Big Island - Kona and Waikoloa Village)
9) Church-Banners-Etc. This is a spin-off of Lets Go Banners that will focus on providing church banners to churches all over the U.S.
10) Birthday-Banners-Etc. This is a start-up that provides church banners to congregations with quality banners all over the U.S.
11) Hawaii Trip Report dot com. This is our Hawaii trip site that offers great advice to anyone wishing to visit the amazing Hawaiian Islands.
12) Lucky Dog Graphics. This is a graphic design company we started in 1998 that was integrated into ESC Promotions in 1999. We provided graphics design for all types of clients.
13) Cedar Street Shoppes. This was a popular retail craft mall that we purchased in 1998 and closed down once the craft mall craze subsided. Picket Fence Properties rented out this space for commercial uses.
14) How To Start A Business 123. This is a new endeavor with which we wish to help budding entrepreneurs accomplish their goals.
15) Lethal Sales Training dot com. This is a sales training site that was started several years ago, which we are re-launching April 30, 2008
